Instructions: An "editor" is a third-party program that is written to modify the configuration settings or saved game file of a particular title. The editor is usually run while the game is NOT opened as it relies on saved information. It is always a good idea to backup the files being edited, as sometimes the editor doesn't work with the particular version of the game you are playing, therefore resulting in corrupted data.
